VersaLogic has released a new fanless, low power, RoHS-compliant single board computer into its Cobra product family.

1. The Cobra
VersaLogic Corp. announced a new low voltage, fanless version of its popular Cobra EBX Single Board Computer (SBC). The new model features a low voltage 1.0 GHz Intel® Celeron® M CPU and is fully RoHS-compliant. It combines low power consumption and fanless operation (no moving parts) with high reliability and guaranteed 5-year availability. The Cobra product line is appropriate for high-end applications in transportation, industrial automation, medical equipment, and military/aerospace.
Standard on-board features include Extreme Graphics 2 video, dual 10/100 Ethernet, USB, serial communication, and analog and digital I/O ports. Specialized reliability features, such as TVS devices to protect against ESD damage, a watchdog timer and CPU temperature sensor, and an OEM-enhanced field-upgradeable embedded BIOS are also included. A variety of analog I/O are available as off the shelf options. Product customizations include conformal coating, customized BIOS, revision locks, custom labeling, RTV and wire wrap for shock and vibration protection, and many other options.
The Cobra is designed to work with embedded operating systems, including Windows CE/XP/XPe, Linux, VxWorks, QNX, DOS, and other real-time operating systems.
